They're Alan's 5-foot long, fully radio-controlled models and their designs and names are his own. They're composites of design features from a number of existing vessels and as such, are unique. 

Alan recalls;

'I'd love it if they still built ships like this but, at about 25,000 tons life-sized, I doubt there'd be any interest in the now mega-ship market! They're entirely scratch-built, though I did get an outside firm to cast the fibreglass hulls from my wooden mock ups. They are a good conversation piece when they go out, usually on the River Stour, near Christchurch, Dorset, or else (as in these pictures) on a large lake in Poole Park.' 

 

Astounding work Alan ... what a great relaxing hobby that would be, sailing them that is, I'm not sure I'd have the time, skill or patience to build one :)
