I suppose, looking back on those years spent at sea, they would rate as some of the happiest times of our lives. During this period we worked hard and played hard, some far more than others and probably far more than was healthy for us. But we survived. I was fortunate to meet some wonderful people during this time, one of whom turned into my amazing wife, for which I will be eternally grateful to P&O. I made some great mates who still maintain some form of correspondence even though we are dispersed to all parts of the globe. It was a case of being in the right place at the right time and then making the most of our adventures together. Old seadogs I salute you!
