This is the QE2 when Mark Hoddinott and I got invited onboard in Nassau by a R/O friend of mine, Alan Burbidge, who'd joined Cunard. Our dare was to raise the P&O flag - a sign of things to come!

Above is a picture of the medical department on Arcadia in 1974.

David remembers,

Deryk Gowland (Surgeon) was standing in for the resident Surgeon who was on leave. Deryk and I worked on Canberra together when he was Baby Doc.

This is Rollo doing his Customs Officer sketch, which consisted of him screaming at the girl to take her clothes off. (Remarkably similar to his wheeling-in technique, as I recall...)

I believe No13 is a Lecky called Alan Lampkin, N014 could be Dave Preece and I think No16 is Jady Stevens, not Dave Ferguson.

Ian Brunton advises No 12 is an engineering cadet called Jeff Oxnard and believes No3 named as Brendon O'Donoghue is actually Eddie McDonnell 2/V/O.

Tony Toledo advises that this photo was taken in December 1976 when he was a cadet on the Arcadia and he was a young 19 year old at the time and it was taken during the 4-8 am watch which is why they all look half asleep!!

This is a boat trip at I think Lautoka, looks like engine problems! I remember some of the guys; Roger Davis at the back, Douggie Cruickshank, I think he is standing in front of John Heslop, Glen is there & Nice John.
