Tahiti shore trip

Tony recalls;

This photo was taken around 1980, myself front right, behind is Paul Humphries (R/O), rear left is Ivor Young (Engineer) and front left is an AP called Paul I think. It was a great day. During the Pacific Princess circle Pacific cruise, a rally was organised for the day we were in Papeete, Tahiti. Six groups of four each with their own jeep (all hired for the day) had to follow instructions in the form of a type of treasure hunt to collect clues and report back to the wardroom where the results were tallied at the end of the day to ascertain a winner. I can't think how so many people got the time off for this thinking about it now.

Mike Hawkesworth writes;

The AP was Paul Brougham, spoke to him today and he confirmed it!

Thanks Mike.

Mark Barnett has kindly added the following information;

The names missing from the Wardroom photo added by Steve Foster are Lee and Paul Carney although they are no longer married and weren't at that time either. The picture isn't taken in the wardroom, it's one of the public rooms but I can't recall which one.
