I
hope you find these interesting. I still do two cruises a year for P&O
and I'm the longest serving Lecturer with the Company, how things have changed!,
nowhere near as much fun! and the pax are all very different. I still keep in touch with David King
(Chief Engineer), Sylvia Arkieson who was a Social Hostess and married Alan Arkieson a Purser
(now deceased), Susan Jones (Purser) is not at all well at this present
time, Sammy Bradford (Captain) also not very well, Denis Scott-Masson
(Captain) very unwell, Alison Ross (Snr Nursing Sister), Judy Smyth
(Purser), Ian Gibb (Captain), and of course my really old friend Bill
Allison ... the best Cruise Director ever, and my best friend Michael Fatchen
(Captain) and John Rockell (Chief Engineer), also Norman Pound.
I recognise many faces from the
website, I wish they all had email addresses. I would love to get in touch with Roberta Pritchard
(Social Hostess) ... had many a hectic shoreside grotty-nosh with her!! Happy Days.
All
I know about this group is that’s Annie Ollson 4th from the left who was
Dave Traynor’s caddy on the day.
John
Trembling adds;
It's not very clear but I'm sure it's me holding
the golf clubs bottom right, the guy holding the other clubs is Vince Greelish
and behind me, on the far right, is Dave Bonnet
(Deceased). Next to Dave is Brian Hulme (think that's spelt right) with his then partner who I think was a Steiners girl but
I don't remember her name.
On
the right is Alistair McCallum nicknamed ‘The Beast’ by Dickie Rutter
and that’s Dave Traynor hugging a real sweetie but unfortunately Dave
can’t remember her name.
The
"sweetie" has named herself and is Lynn
Hurlstone. How could you forget such a honey Fruity, shame on you :)
