Jeannie recalls;
In July 1987 Pacific Princess went to London to help host the 150th Birthday of P&O. The Queen and Prince Philip came aboard, had dinner and then witnessed from the top decks a fabulous fireworks display. It was very exciting for all. The Royal Yacht docked right outside my porthole so I had a great view of their arrival. However, we entertainers, and staff were not part of the dinner and festivities. We mostly directed traffic for the guests. None the less exciting.
Jeannie writes;
In November 1984 Princess Diana helped celebrate the inaugural of the Royal Princess. A picture of the Royal Daulton bone china commemorative plate that was made for the occasion can be seen in the Memorabilia section.
